Cord Types and Lengths:

The controller power and socket cords are made of heavy duty, 18 gauge, water resistant, grounded cable. Each side is 36 inches.

The float switch cord is about 20 inches long.

Float Switch Type and Information: Madison M8000.  Switches are saltwater safe and have no metal parts. Floats are 1" wide and fit into 1.25" PVC pipe.
Mount Information: Made from black plastic. 2" wide and 6" total length. Switch is held in place by two zip ties. A nylon screw holds the mount secure to your tank.

Our new smaller profile snail guard is included (old style snail guard is pictured). The snail guard will prevents aquarium inhabitants from interfering with the operation of the float switch.
Switching System Information: Switching system is done by a 10 Amp relay, allowing you to use a device rated up to 1200 watts.
Water Level Height: The water level is adjustable from 1" to 3" below sump lip depending on where you attach the switch to the mount using the provided zip ties.
Normal Operation: The controller powers a device when the float switch senses that your tank water level is low. The device will be turned off when the float switch senses your water level is high.
Reverse Operation: The controller turns the device off when your water level is low. The device will be powered when your water level is high. To enable this mode of operation, remove the plastic retaining clip that holds the float on and reverse the float so the magnets inside the float are on the bottom.
