| Optical Sensor w/ Float Switch Backup: | This is just like our regular double switch controller but instead
has an optical water sensor for the primary level sensor and uses a madison
float switch as the fail safe. The solid-state optical level sensor has
no moving parts. This includes a low voltage upgrade with a low energy consumption relay
as the optical sensor requires 12VDC for operation and can handle 40mA max.
This controller will power devices up to 6A or 720 watts. Due to the high cost
of the optical sensors we do not stock them and orders will take about a week to ship.
You can also get this without the float
switch backup for $10 less if you prefer. |
||
| Low Voltage Upgrade: |
This design uses low voltage to power the relay. The advantage is the increased
safety due to the reduced voltage which runs through the float switch(es). A 12V DC
transformer is used to power the relay to switch 120 VAC power to run your pump or solenoid.
The 12V power supply cable is 5 feet long.
|
||
| Float Switch Wire Extension: | This upgrade option extends the float switch wires up to 10 feet (to
approx 12 feet in length) on one or two float switches. Connections are
soldered and heat-shrinked. Connections are not water proof so you cannot
submerge. |
||
| Latching Upgrade: | This upgrade will make the topoff controller fill from the bottom float
switch to the top float switch. It will apply power when water level falls
below the bottom switch and stay powered until the top switch goes high.
This mode of operation is better for RO membranes as it the RO system
will run for a longer period of time. Be aware that you lose the second
switch backup protection with this option. |
||
| Latching with Backup Switch Upgrade: | This option adds the latching functionality plus an extra float switch for backup purposes. The two lower switches
come with the PVC surround, the backup switch is open like the upper switch on our double switch sump mount controller.
This includes an extra mount of your choice to help with mounting the three switches.
|
||
| Reverse Latching Upgrade: | This upgrade is the opposite of our 'latching upgrade'. It will make the topoff controller empty your tank from the top float
switch to the bottom float switch. So when your water level raises and triggers the upper float switch
the controller will turn on. It will stay on until the lower switch goes low. This is often used for water change systems. |
||
| Run-dry Protection Upgrade: | This option adds a third float switch which prevents the pump from
running dry. The bottom switch is submerged in your topoff reservoir and
if the water falls below it, the controller will turn off your topoff
pump. The middle switch controlls the water level in your sump. The top
switch is the failsafe and will shut down the controller if it goes high.
This includes an extra mount of your choice to help with mounting the
three switches. Keep in mind the float switches are each ~2ft long so
you may need to extend them if your sump and reservoir are a ways apart. |
||
| Reset Switch Upgrade: | This upgrade adds a switch that must be pressed to 'reset' the controller after your water level activates it. This is commonly used so when your tank, sump or overflow overflows the switch will trigger the controller to shut off your return pump or similar and will not restore power after the water level falls until the reset switch is pressed. This prevents a the controller from cycling on and off continually in the event your overflow is partially clogged and can't keep up with your return pump or similar. You can reverse the operation by reversing the float switch bobber. When the magnets are up, your device will be powered when the float switch is high. When the magnets are down, your device will be powered when the float switch is down.This upgrade can be added to single switch controllers only.

Water Sensor Controller: |
This controller is similar to our topoff controllers but uses a GRI water sensor instead of a madison float switch. Upon sensing water the controller will either
turn off or turn on power. You can also add additional water sensors for +20$ each. This includes a 12V upgrade as the GRI sensors require 12VDC for operation. The sensor leads are 6 feet.
|
||
| Battery Backup Controller: | This controller switches power between your household power and a battery backup when you have a power outage. It has two power inputs and one power output.
Plug one input into the wall and the other into a battery power supply. This can either power a device from the grid and switch to battery when the power goes out, or only power the device during an outage.

| Mounting Bracket: | Use our float switch mounting brackets to hang any type of device to your tank, sump, etc. Includes necessary zipties. Refer to our products page for more information and pictures of our mounting brackets. |

Custom Mount Upgrade: |
We build custom mounts to fit almost any application. Usually this means bending a mount to fit a different tank lip size or making a longer mount to accomodiate those deeper sumps. Most custom mounts will require $10 extra. Please email and ask about your configuration before ordering. | ||
